Determined the historic significance of cultural resources and archaeological sites in Santa Rosa County. Wrote, presented, and published interpretations of site history, methodology, and artifact results. Conserved materials and interpreted findings. Researched, surveyed, and assessed sites of past societies and cultures. Developed specific research questions. Determined two sites were eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Mapped these and registered them through the state of Florida. Assessed these and other sites for resource management and development in accordance with state and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) guidelines. Coordinated with 45 landowners. Recorded the exact locations and collections of artifacts, using photographs and drawings, and supervised others doing the same during Phase III excavations. Compared results of multiple sites across the Southeast and made maps using ArcGIS. Presented and published interpretations for public and academic audiences. Show less
