I worked with Patrick on several projects, enhancements and support for the store backroom receiving process. We worked in different technology environments, but we were a great team when deciphering issues - meeting to talk through any problem or challenge and discussing what steps to take to resolve it. Patrick displayed his great problem solving abilities when digging into unfamiliar code to explain the logic and determine why an issue occurred. Most recently, Patrick taught himself a new language to re-code the Store Receiving system into a more modern language. He had no experts to ask - just took it all upon himself to learn as he coded. Patrick provided initial screen mockups that helped our team figure out what was required from the backend. He performed quick turnaround updates during integration testing as needed to get our pieces to communicate and function as required. Patrick’s great teamwork, dedication and implementation skills helped us successfully conclude projects and research requests.

I have known and worked on various projects with Patrick for over 10 years. I know Patrick to be a knowledgeable, hardworking and a dedicated individual. In some of the projects we worked on together, he played the role of Developer and Business Analyst. He brought many ideas to the table for enhancing applications to flow better and to be easier understood from and end user perspective. Patrick worked very well with the various IT teams needed to get the projects to move forward and was fantastic at communicating the timeline of the project to the Operations Team. He is very well spoken and articulate in his thought process. Patrick has a proven record of excellence can be a valuable asset to any team. I highly recommend Patrick.

Writer, narrator, and editor for my YouTube channel, called My Old Car. These are documentary-style videos about cars from the 80's, 90's, and 2000's that are rarely seen on the road today. First began making the videos in February 2021, and by mid-April I had gained enough subscribers and viewers to monetize and join the YouTube Creator program. Typically average 20,000 views a day and 200 viewer comments written per day. Currently producing and uploading at least one new video every other week. Show less

Sears Holdings Corp, following bankruptcy, reorganized as TransformCo in April 2019. Continued my role from Sears as technical lead and managing offshore developers for multiple projects. • Designed and delivered all specifications for services we required from ECS (formerly known as Episys) for supporting the Ad Set application, following their conversion from legacy SOAP architecture to SaaS. Worked directly with their developers on testing, managing the rollout to stores, and ongoing maintenance and support. • Managed the migration of the Ad Set application and the replacement mobile receiving application (started with Sears Holdings) from proprietary servers to AWS. • Sr Technical Specialist, Project Lead
      • Sep 2005 - Mar 2019

Sears Holding Corp was the parent company of Sears and Kmart retail stores. Worked at Sears HQ in Hoffman Estates, as well as remotely from Michigan. Worked directly with several business clients as the technical lead for many projects. Wrote requirements and developed wireframes for screen flows, reviewed and tested all work from offshore developers, and often assisted in the coding and unit testing. Worked with business clients onsite in stores to test their software. Managed the rollout of the software to in-store servers. • Designed and wrote requirements for the Ad Set application, a mobile app which allowed store associates to manage the setting up, taking down, and requesting additional signs for weekly ads. Was the direct liaison with outside vendor Episys (now renamed ECS) to develop services that the Ad Set app used to track the signs in their database. Services were originally designed using SOAP architecture. Managed a team of offshore developers, tested all of their work, and managed the rollout and ongoing support and maintenance. • Was the sole designer and developer of a new Angular front-end app to replace the legacy Sears backroom receiving process. Worked directly with an in-house team that developed the back end and provided them with all specifications for services they needed to develop to work with my Angular app. • Advanced to sole technical representative for the in-store back office systems for SHO (Sears Hometown and Outlet) after they spun off as a separate business from Sears Holdings in 2014. Worked directly with the SHO business to design and develop new mobile solutions for the Outlet stores to better track their inventory and manage items for online customer pickup. Show less
