  Mr. Fife focuses his practice primarily in the areas of litigation and appeals.Mr. Fife represents large and small businesses, municipalities and individuals in the litigation of a broad range of cases in New York State and federal courts. He has handled numerous complex litigation matters involving commercial contracts, insurance, business torts, business dissolutions and constitutional claims. He also has successfully litigated real estate matters involving residential and commercial sales and leases, environmental issues, boundary disputes and adverse possession claims. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Fife also routinely counsels clients on the sale and purchase of real estate, the drafting of contracts and business agreements, insurance coverage matters and workplace legal issues.Mr. Fife joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in 2011. Before joining the firm, Mr. Fife was an associate in the business litigation group of Nixon Peabody LLP. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Fife worked in the claims departments of two national insurance companies.Mr. Fife earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University in 1997. In 2003, he graduated summa cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law, and he was awarded the Maurice A. Deane Award, which is conferred upon the student with the highest grade point average in the graduating class. While in law school, Mr. Fife was also the Business Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.Mr. Fife is admitted to practice in New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
