  ·Serves as the District’s Rural Transportation Program (RPO) Coordinator and implements the provisions of the First Tennessee RPO Annual Work Program as authorized by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). ·Prepares new ordinances, regulations, make recommendations, and communicates as Principle Planner for seven local governments. ·Ensure ordinances, regulations, and community development plans comply with all applicable local, state and federal law. Draft amendments to existing ordinances and regulations as warranted. ·Provides ongoing training to local government officials and planning entities to assist with annual continuing education/training for Planning Commissions and Boards of Zoning Appeals in accordance with Tenn. Code. ·Represents FTDD in a professional manner at various job-related conferences, TDOT, RPO and MPTO meetings, seminars, and workshops as assigned. ·Testifies in court as expert witness as required.
