  I manage the teen services department for the Newark branch of Alameda County Library. My main responsibilities are to provide reference services, reader's advisory, teen programming, outreach and help manage the young adult collection.   I worked with schools and teenagers to help advertise and conduct young adult programming, managed teen volunteers year round and worked at information desk providing reference and reader’s advisory services. I was fortunate enough to work on a one desk model system where I performed both circulation and reference functions. Some of my proudest accomplishments was starting a weekly teen tech help, after school homework help and an annual teen battle of the bands.
