  I have been working with Nicolas C. Geissler for 18 years now. This has resulted in the most diverse multimedia (especially artistic!) projects and every banal to hair-raising challenge has given us experience and self-confidence. We work in a generalist and interdisciplinary way on all creative projects. We produce film and video art for ourselves and other artists* like Ani Schulze, Evelyn Taocheng Wang, Philip Gufler, Maxim Weirich and Deniz Ergolu in close relationship with art foundations and film funding. At the interface between experimental film and commercial exploitation are our own feature film projects, which we produce as neuzeit Filmagentur. The 85-minute documentary "St Just and Heringen", funded by hessenfilm and MFG, was completed in early 2021. Currently we are producing the artistic documentary SOYBOY about (toxic) masculinity as well as SARATOV, a documentary-artistic project about male rape in Russian prisons. Our specialty is high quality and exciting commercials. We are particularly proud of our cinematic short feature films and full-length feature films as well as social media visuals for brands such as HORNBACH, which entertain emotionally and convey brand messages through concrete added value.   Patrick Alan Banfield studied media art from 2010 in the class of Isaac Julien at the HfG Karlsruhe and fine arts in the class of Willem de Rooij at the Städelschule HfbK Frankfurt am Main, where he graduated in 2015. He then studied with Omer Fast at the HfG Karlsruhe from 2016-2018. His filmic and installation works have been presented in several group exhibitions and film festivals, such as Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival (2012), De Ateliers, Amsterdam (2013), Galerie 1m3, Lausanne (2013), Loop Videoart Festival, Barcelona (2013), Festival de Video en Bourgogne (2013), Berlin Biennale (2014), Kulter A-Lab, Amsterdam (2015), Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt am Main (2015), Museum für neue Kunst, Freiburg (2018), Mewo-Kunsthalle Memmingen (2018), Palazzo Strozzi, Florence (2019) and at Pixels Fest at Yeltsin Art Center, Yekaterinburg (2020). The artist and filmmaker seeks to embed his cinematic works in spatial installations. Social issues such as inequality, privacy, and how to live sustainably in the future move him. Patrick is particularly interested in fragile and toxic masculinity. He thinks in terms of stories and (twisted) narratives that address these issues and creates realistic yet utopian scenarios for the politics of the future, drawing on meta-levels of filmmaking.
