Patrick is a person who has become for me the synonym of management excellence, motivation, open person and business successes. I've also always been amazed by Patrick's ability to work in a highly stressful environment such we had during a couple of years. Many things could of course be written about Patrick's aptitudes but in a summary I can say that what I've learned from him was much more that I could ever expect from a manager.

I have merged both organizations into a new entity VitalAir Nederland BV. In addition, I centralized the activities of Heerenveen and Eindhoven at a new patient-friendly location in Eindhoven. Thanks to my business development activities and effective tendering results with health insurers, I have achieved significant improvements in profitability and a revenue increase of more than 40%. I was responsible for the day-to-day operations and P&L of Centrafarm Nederland BV and its 4 business units Centrafarm Services BV, Centrafarm BV, Healthypharm BV and NeoCare BV with a consolidated turnover of €95M (+130 FTE). With the aim of a better focus, I separated the production and sales activities and realized a strong improvement in both activities. By implementing lean principles in production and changing the shift schedule, the plant's output doubled and performance improved significantly. The preference policy put enormous pressure on the margins of generic medicines. To compensate for this, I sucessfully launched the Neopharm branded OTC product line and established a joint venture with a foundation of dispensing general practitioners in the field of medication rolls. As a member of BOGIN, I have actively participated in the discussions on health care reform in the area of generic medicines and reimbursement in particular. Show less
