I was involved with the packaging of various automotive aftermarket products, which included hydraulic jacks, shop tools, screwdriver sets, drills, sanders, heat guns, socket sets, shop seats, and many more items. These were mainly packaged in either the General Motors branding or the ACDELCO branding. The ACDELCO line was sold internationally, so we had to design the packaging with Spanish and French language as well. The copy was translated through local translators. The ACDELCO guideline standards were very specific in size and layout and each package had to be designed according to their specifications. The die cuts for the packaging layout was designed according to the actual product and usually produced in Taiwan or China, depending on where the items were being packaged. In addition to the package design, I was also involved with trade shows that displayed many of our product line. I was involved with every aspect of the trade show process, except for travel, hotel, and restaurant arrangements.
