Trouble-shooting included incorrect addresses, vacant residences, and people who had relocated. Selected to work additional locations in eastern Ohio. Grants received: "Polymers That Save Lives: Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting," The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Special Grant Program in the Chemical Sciences, with R. Badger, L. Scheich, L. Mathias, and J. Seyler, 2001. (www.pslc.ws/fire) Two workshops were presented at the 2003 ChemEd Conference at Auburn University for high school teachers to explore a multimedia approach to teaching chemistry using fire prevention and firefighting to capture student interest. "The Effect of Macromolecular Structure on Polymer Properties: Development of an Organic Chemistry Laboratory and a High School Outreach Program," Westfield State College Teaching Grant, Spring 2001. "Making Chemistry More Attainable, Retainable, and Interesting for WSC Students… and… Increasing the Outreach Capability of the Physical Science Department." This 1998 Westfield State College Teaching Grant provided funds to attend workshops at the Biennial Conference - Chemical Education in Waterloo, Ontario. "Improvement of the Organic Chemistry Laboratory; Drawing Chemical Structures for Publications and Lecture/Lab Materials." Westfield State College Foundation Grant, 1998.
