  Previous experience in working with seniors helped greatly with this position as I had no Property Management experience. This was an independent living apartment building 80 units and tenants were given 2 meals per day, housekeeping, transportation, security (a sheriff was offered an apartment and meals to monitor alarms) entertainment and access to an on-site beauty parlor, church services and a podiatrist each month. With approval from head office, I was able to find a bus to take our tenants on trips and hired a full time driver. Schedules and payroll were part of this position as well as supervision of all staff, including secretary, activities coordinator, salon, kitchen and housekeeping staff, as well as building maintenance and food ordering. The facility was named 'Best in North America' by HUD before I retired. The facility has now been sold and is a full care home. As a retiree, I enjoy working with the public and presently transport patients to and from their homes to hospital appointments. I also volunteer in the ER at our local hospital, and am a foster mom for dogs taken in by an animal rescue. Show less
