Patty's writing is delightful and informative. She is always introducing her (many) readers to new dishes and new people, all of them worth reading about. While some newspaper stories drone on, when Patty's stories are over, readers wish they weren't.

Patty is rare among today's food writers in that she keeps the focus on food, not self-promotion. Her reviews are fair and free of cheap shots, but Patty doesn't mince words if a meal goes wrong. If you're looking for a smart, professional food writer with great taste and innovative ideas, look no further. Besides, anyone who eats muscrat -- twice! -- in the name of journalism deserves respect.
