Managed a contract non-renewal of Head of School (HOS - similar to principal) transition situation due to unexpected information and handled the ensuing District investigation regarding board actions and practices, Coordinated with construction representative regularly, prepared materials for all board… Show more As a volunteer at Douglas County Schools Montessori Charter School, I helped oversee a $10.2M bond refinance and building expansion and recurring and nonrecurring fundraising efforts. Managed a contract non-renewal of Head of School (HOS - similar to principal) transition situation due to unexpected information and handled the ensuing District investigation regarding board actions and practices, Coordinated with construction representative regularly, prepared materials for all board meetings, developed gift card purchase program, wrote grant proposals. Swiftly and confidentially conducted staff reviews to assess HOS, took direct action to stabilize operations at school during tumultuous two month-long transition environment, including faculty hiring for next year, created search committee to vet and hire new HOS. Cooperated fully with District investigator as lead contact for school. Building expansion was completed on time and within budget. New HOS, faculty and staff were hired and ready for next school year (search process still in use). Gift card purchase program still running, making >$60K/year. Grant writing produced nearly $500K in funds for expansion and professional development. Official District investigation report found no improper actions by DCSM board.
