Patricia Albuquerque is an extremely motivated, goal-oriented, team player and enthusiastic individual, evidencing strong knowledge on extracellular vesicles, gene therapy and Machado-Joseph's disease. Her skillful professional characteristics are in line and constitute a perfect match to her personal driving forces, namely persistence, perseverance, curiosity, focus, and deeply humane nature. I have no doubts she will become a great researcher in the near Future and expect to hear about her success in whatever path she chooses to prosecute within the biomedical field.

During last years, I worked with Patricia Albuquerque at the Center for Neurosciences and Cell Biology after enrolling in the same phD programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Patricia always showed to be hardworking, enthusiastic and committed. She kept a good relationship with other people of the lab and she contributed to maintain a good atmosphere in the research group. I think that during this period she acquired a solid training in several techniques and in theoretical aspects, as well as many soft skills, that could be very important and useful for her career. I am very confident that Patricia will be an added value in any team she integrates in the future.
