  I am retired from full time teaching, but still do consulting in Higher Education.

  I worked with the faculty and administration to develop the Speaking Across the Curriculum program at Hamline University and was the director of that program for 15 years. After a break of several years, I stepped back into the director position for approximately 2 years. I chaired the Dept. of Communication Studies, when the department split off from the Theatre Arts Program. As the program director (head) of Communication Studies since 1985, I was in charge of the administration of this academic program. With the split from Theatre, I became the chair of the department of Communication Studies, doing essentially the same things. In the summer of 2016 I gratefully gave up the mantle of chair, in preparation for retirement. I retired at the end of August 2017 from Hamline, but still do some consulting. Show less
