      Work with GIS team to provide support to TRCA staff and outside consultants in the form of GIS analysis and mapping for Management plans and conservation officers for trials. • Serve on Advisory Committees to support Management Plans and to provide any mapping needs, such as trails and land management practices • Estimate time and costs for completion of various internal and external GIS projects • Implement and execute GPS projects using new GPS hardware with various departments and also train staff on the use of such equipment • Interact daily with other regions and municipalities to better serve the public with their GIS and data needs in accordance with TRCA Data Management regulations. • Facilitate Environmental Assessments and OMB Hearings by preparing cartographic mapping and presentation drawings • Create maps for Natural Heritage Biological Inventory Reports to be used as a guideline by internal staff and the general public • Provide Natural Heritage Features mapping by collecting and digitizing geographic data, performing air photo interpretation and undertaking spatial analysis and data integration • Training, installation and support for GIS field data collection using PDAs (ArcPad) and ArcExplorer GIS data access software that is used in biological inventories that occur on a seasonal basis • Trained summer staff to digitize, clean and perform QA/QC procedures for ongoing natural heritage data collection • Support the integrity, analysis, interpretation and maintenance of GIS datasets and relational databases, such as species and communities of conservation concern, to be used by TRCA staff • Train and assist other TRCA staff with utilizing ArcExplorer for them to use as a screening tool in environmental assessments • Create and maintain TRCA metadata database for GIS and as a partnership with MNR
