After four and a half years in Sales at World Class, I discovered a brand new level of satisfaction that was reflected both professionally and personally. Thus, it was obvious that this was the right field for me. I was curious, however, to experience a new industry and focus more on B2B Sales. I joined the eJobs Romania team with this thought in mind, and embraced a new challenge. I knew some details about Employer Branding before coming to eJobs, but here is where I truly discovered it in all its depths. I first began by promoting the company’s employer branding services, including quantitative and qualitative brand research, EVP development, digital campaigns, content creation and much more. The field was truly fascinating, and I decided to also attend the Employer Branding Academy, where I received my certification as an official “Employer Branding Specialist”. At eJobs, my tasks often include: - Building relationships with new clients, understanding their objectives, and proposing existing and customized solutions for their needs; - Contacting new leads, convincing them to use eJobs products, and following up on their results; - Maintaining relationships with current clients, staying up to date on their needs and objectives, and proactively suggesting the right solutions for them; - Being a brand ambassador for the eJobs employer branding services; - Participating in networking events organized by eJobs (conferences, masterclasses, client parties, etc.); - Acting as project manager for the more complex services we offer clients; - Mediating the relationship between clients, researchers, and creatives in employer branding endeavors. After one year at World Class as Renewal Manager, I was even more excited to push my professional limits. My superiors noticed this and promoted me to Sales Manager. Renewing former clients was, in a way, easier because I was always talking to people that knew and loved our brand. I just had to remind them how much they loved it and how much the experience of coming to World Class is worth. But with new clients, there were just so many more directions to go in. Some appreciated how diverse the classes were, others appreciated our locations and quality of equipment, and B2B clients had to be approached completely differently. It was such a pleasure to learn how to read different clients and quickly find the best way to approach their needs. In this position, as well as in my other jobs, I continued to reach my targets and exceed them, and began collaborating more and more with other departments, while managing an entire team of my own. My tasks included:- Creating the monthly sales strategy and forwarding it for approval to top management;- Managing a dynamic sales policy aimed at continuous revenue growth;- Engaging the whole team in reaching the monthly target and setting clear objectives;- Contacting new leads in order to expand the number of members;- Replying to online requests from potential new clients;- Establishing meetings with the sales leads;- Doing club tours to present the whole range of services;- Creating action plans to generate new leads;- Supervising and managing the Sales team;- Guiding and training all team members involved in Sales;- Creating monthly, weekly and daily game plans;- Developing new strategies according to ongoing campaigns;- Participating in all events announced by the Marketing team (fitness festivals, fitness trades, marathons, etc.);- Rapidly identifying clients’ needs and presenting optimal solutions;- Creating and organizing local action plans to generate new referrals from existing members. I joined the Sales team at World Class, Romania’s market leader in wellness, After six years of being an Editor at Radio Romania, continuing to follow my passions and this time turning from music to sports. I was eager to face new challenges, both in a new industry and a completely new field. I half-expected the experience to be extremely difficult, and, in all honesty, it was, but it was also extremely gratifying. I had discovered an industry and role where you knew instantly if you were growing, learning and achieving the necessary results. Reaching and exceeding every target kept me constantly motivated, and I quickly moved further up. As a Renewal Manager, I was in charge of:- Contacting existing members and convincing them to renew their memberships;- Actively and diplomatically replying to complaints and offering solutions;- Developing new renewal strategies and presenting them to the Sales Manager and Club Manager; - Implementing new or existing sales strategies and reaching the monthly targets;- Setting up local meetings with the renewal leads in order to accelerate the sales process;- Keeping the team involved and motivated;- Drawing up periodic reports regarding sales strategies and following up on them;- Relationship building with current members. As a Conservatory student, transitioning to the radio industry seemed natural, so I embraced the opportunity. However, I didn’t start out with a plan to develop a career in this sense. I was actually planning to go in a different direction and my job was initially project-based. I started out in June and knew that I was going to leave in November when the event I was hired to help organize would take place. Luckily though, my contract was extended, and I was quite happy about it. Even though the workload was impressive and exhausting at times, it was such a pleasure to learn so many new things and to be surrounded by colleagues who constantly inspired me to reach a higher level of professionalism. I handled pre-recorded radio sections, managed 24-hour radio playlists, hosted live radio shows, and more, gradually switching my focus from classical music to an extended palette of music genres. It was a far more dynamic sector of this industry that completely won me over. Show less
