Inspired at an early age to investigate what makes people ‘tick’ led Patricia to a thirty year career in the Arts Industry as an Actor, Director, Writer, Teacher, Drama Tutor and Workshop Facilitator and working with Magpie Theatre, Urban Myth and Southern Youth Theatre Ensemble. As a Teaching Artist with The Songroom, Patricia worked with primary schools reinstating drama programs and teachers where Arts Programs had ben cancelled due to funding cuts. Patricia has written and produced more than twenty plays and assisted thousands of young people to express themselves through the relatable processes implicit in drama workshops. Representing minors as a Child Advocate in Family Care meetings with the Care and Protection Unit of the Youth Courts SA facilitated a change in direction for hundreds of families. At the forefront of Corporate Training in the 1980’s, instilling positive change in the workplace through interactive performance scenarios with Margot Cairns (Sydney) and Owen Stickels (Adelaide) Patricia has woven a complimentary career path with alternative therapies and disability support. Residential support, Steiner Education and a variety of Leadership Training, Coaching & Development Programs added colour to her palette. Patricia provides professional Well-being Advocacy and Consultancy applying specialised tools and tricks of the trade to turn paralysis into passion by connecting to purpose. Worked with the iKiDs Program counsellors within Relationships Australia who specialised in providing support and resources to children and families post-separation. Managed the creative development and script writing of two puppet shows designed for 4-6yr olds (Dillon's Secret Adventure) and 7-8yr olds (Leila's Birthday Party) toward inclusion, normalisation and multiculturalism. After preliminary performance by the iKiDs counsellors, auditioned and directed local professional actors to tour the puppet shows throughout metropolitan primary schools offering a support package for schools and families.
