Patricia is a gift! She's one of those rare people who are good at everything AND easy to work with. She consistently thought several moves ahead, was quick to to develop the infrastructure to support her department's success, and achieved results fast during a crucial time for the organization. She's gracious under pressure, constantly learning and pushing herself to grow, and basically built our development department from the ground up. I can't say enough good things about her!!

Patricia is an excellent colleague. We worked together on the development team at Food & Water Watch for six years and during that time, I always found her to be courteous, helpful, and capable. She's a strong fundraiser and an asset to any team lucky enough to have her.

I am leading the development of the fundraising department at the Worker Justice Center of NY, which pursues justice for those denied human rights with a focus on agricultural and other low wage workers, through legal representation, community empowerment and advocacy for institutional change. This includes corporate, private and public grantmaking, planned giving, individual and major donors, annual appeal, and donor communications. When I was hired, the organization relied heavily on government grants. My goal was to diversify funding streams and increase individual support for unrestricted needs. 6 months into my role, COVID hit. With our clients being most impacted by the pandemic, it was critical that our programs remain operational. With little infrastructure or administrative capacity, our organization flourished and success is demonstrated as follows: Successes: - Raised six figures in individual gifts - Increased overall revenue ten-fold - Increased foundation funding from $350,000 to $1.17 million - Implemented staff phone bank - Developed Gift Acceptance Policy - Recruited and currently manage Development Associate and seasonal interns - Raised $85,000 in direct cash assistance for workers impacted by COVID-19 - Built monthly donor program that now brings in 12% of individual giving
