As an intern I was to interview clients with misdemeanor charges. I read the police reports prior and would conduct an interview in order to get their side of the situation. At the end I would type up a brief and give it to the assigned attorney for that client. Filling out additional paperwork depending on the misdemeanor charges. Listening to audio files [PUMA recordings] from the police officer and typing a report to add to the attorney's file. Going to court to deliver any documents for the attorney. Sitting in on closing arguments of the attorneys. Show less

Interned for the Riverside District Attorney's office was a great experience. I was assigned to a lawyer and worked hands on with her. I was able to assist her in preparing for cases and court. As well I was able to tour the Men's Chino Prison, the Riverside Coroners office, and the county jail. Interned for the Riverside District Attorney's office was a great experience.
