  The Phoenix Academy is an amazing non-profit private school that helps children, who are behind grade level in reading and/or math, reach their full academic potential. As the Assistant Director, I had the honor of working with the board, administration, teachers and staff, donors, parents, interns, volunteers, vendors, and students. I was in charge of brand management, advertising, marketing campaigns, social media, website, newsletters, and internal and external marketing communications. I attended all the Board of Directors meetings and for several years took the minutes. I was the volunteer coordinator and special events coordinator, with our largest event being the annual Scholarship Luncheon, (where one year former First Lady Laura Bush was the speaker). I was in charge of technology and worked hand in hand with our IT Director to start a database using CiviCRM, to create a Reading Lab, and to make Chromebooks available to all the staff and students.
