  Windows Live Messenger Companion ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows Live Messenger Companion was an Internet Explorer add-on designed to bring your social network into the browser. As part of this project, I designed and implemented SOXE (Social Object eXtraction Engine) which parsed and evaluated various CSS selector rules to scrape important information (title, description, thumbnail, etc) from a website that a customer desired to share with their social network. Support was included for multiple microformats. Modular COM design allowed the component to be consumed by Windows Live Messenger desktop client as well. I also implemented in-browser toast notifications when you visited a website on which a friend in your social network had recently shared a page, allowing you then to join in on the conversation that was going on about the page in your social network. Windows 8 Settings Sync ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As part of Windows 8, I designed and implemented a method for synchronizing your Windows settings across multiple devices.
