Supervised and managed replacement of filter media, support gravel, wash troughs, surface wash systems, related process piping and equipment at the 1958 filters. Select under drain replacements at the 1958 complete under drain replacement wash trough rehabilitation and surface wash system reinstallation at numerous 1930 filters. Building mechanical (including HVAC , dehumidification and plumbing) installation of new water control gates at numerous location throughout the plant. Installation of new yard fire protection hydrant, valves and piping and installation of automatic emergency shutoff valve on 1-ton gaseous chlorine cylinders. the estimated value is approximately $60 million. Supervise and Managed the day to day operations of a Design-Build Contract. design, implementation and testing to ensure all was operational. Supervise the removal and replacement of 3-18 MGD pumps and 3-12 HP motors. Installatioin of 3 new variable frequency drive systems and new soft starters as a back-up. responsible for the construction of a new 1350 sf. building addition to the existiiong electrical room to accommodate the VFD's , HVAC panels and motor control center. Supervise and manage the high & low lift refurbishments of gate valves, one 52 MGD pump, 3,000 HP motor and butterffly valve, Remove and replacement with new sump pumps and piping, vacuum priming piping,cone valves, value operators,discaharge gate valves, and new electric operators for discharge gate valves. Responsible for header piping repair, replacemnt & painting, rooff slab, structural repair, concrete repairs to walls, walkways, platforms, stairs, railing replacement and paintings.
