      Security - Rio Cosumnes Correctional Facility - Duties included the security of the incarcerated persons who were sentenced to less than 1 year. Sacramento Main Jail - The security and safety of newly arrested people, the care and safety of inmates awaiting trial. This included the prevention of escape, transportation to and from court, the feeding and medical needs of the inmates. Patrol - Respond to calls for service in the unincorporated area of Sacramento County. This included the taking of crime reports, the interviewing of suspects, witnesses and victims of crime. Also, the investigation of crimes, the apprehension of suspects, the booking of evidence, the documentation of events and the testifying in court. SWAT - I was specially trained to respond to hostage situations, executive protection, drug recognition and the observation and detection of persons under the influence of drugs. I worked in a team environment and trained daily in physical fitness, monthly with special weapons and hostage situations. I carried a felony warrant case load during regular hours. I had special assignments as a detective in sex assaults, homicide and as an investigator with the Herion Impact Program with the FBI and Sacramento Police.
