- Taught middle school math using a variety of methodologies to meet a diverse range of student needs. These include motivating warmups (Ten Questions, Countdown, Math riddles, Mental math drills, etc.), using manipulatives and project based learning (PBL) techniques. - Taught middle school science using a PBL approach. This approach encompassed entry points, activities geared towards knowledge, skills and understanding of the particular topic, and exit points.- Students organized successful exit point presentations for other classes and parents.- Coordinated local excursions and national and international student trips. Some were destinations focused on culture such as Paris and London and others were geared towards outdoor activities in the Pyrenees. - Organized student centered school wide events for Cephalopod week, a week celebrating the marvelousness of cephalopods.- Facilitated a student centered learning experience called Philosophy for Children on a weekly basis while creating safe space.
