Dr. Vijay Sapner

I have known him since 2014 and we have both completed our M. Sc as well as doctorate degrees from Dr. B.A.M. University. Dr. Pasha has acquired excellent skills in carbon nanomaterials synthesis, electrochemistry applications, and electrical characterization and received training in various instruments and techniques (CH Instrumentation, XRD, Raman, AFM, FTIR, UV-Visible, Box Coater, and Maskaligner). He has that spark, an ingenuity in him that makes him look beyond the horizon and would definitely lead him to build a great future for the country and the world through his work. His technical data analysis skills in AFM are outstanding. His team-player qualities make him a great member of a team. In addition, he is self-motivated, open-minded, and flexible. His leadership, planning abilities, and ability to execute are exceptional. Apart from that, he's a good colleague and fun to work with. It is pretty easy for him to negotiate, he talks persuasively, and he knows how to promote and present his research to both technical and non-technical audiences in a compelling manner. He really knows what he is doing, and you will soon find that Dr. Pasha will be an asset to your team.

Collaborated with industry professionals to uncover new revenue-generation opportunities and strengthen relationships with high-profile industries. Led a team of 10 junior research fellows to optimize the UV lithography process to fabricate different microstructure patterns on silicon wafers for sensing applications. Maintained the following cleanroom equipment; 👉 Mask Aligner (SUSS MicroTec, MA6/BA6) 👉 Spin Coating Systems (spinNXG-P2) 👉 Thermal and Electron Beam (Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)) Evaporation (Hind Hvac; BC 300) - Plasma Cleaning & Thin Films Deposition (nanometer thickness) 👉 Wedge-Wedge Wire Bonder for electrical contacts. Providing demonstrations and hands-on training on cleanroom equipment to 10 undergrads and 9 new graduate students resulted in 2 publications and 1 presentation. Show less

Completed Ph.D. (Physics) under the guidance of Dr. Mahendra D. ShirsatThe prime objective of this major research project was to fabricate a microstructure array having a 3 μm gap in between two Au electrodes over Si/SiO2 wafer. In this project, I have optimized the UV Lithography process in Cleanroom class 10000 for the fabrication of a microstructure array for water sensor applications. My responsibilities, in brief-✔Planning and designing of the experiments to develop Peptides Functionalized Conducting Polymer-Graphene Organic Field-Effect Transistor for detection of Aqueous Phase Pollutants.✔Development of water and gas sensors using semiconducting 1D and 2D and nanomaterials, including graphene and CNTs, organic conducting polymers, and Peptides.✔Characterization and analysis of microelectronic sensors, thin films, and nanomaterials: morphology, thickness, roughness, quantitative phase analysis, chemical composition, crystal structure, surface charge, electrochemical and semiconducting properties.✔Mentored graduate and research fellows on their projects, and transferred knowledge of existing work to new fellows so that the project could be completed.
