  As Director, I oversaw the academic development of the schooling system in India, with the focus on all aspects of curriculum development. My own interest has been in the area of mathematics education. In 2001-2 I developed an IGNOU certificate programme on how to teach primary school level children mathematics in a manner that supports learning, and have been running it across the country since then.
