In this position, my primary project is helping to create Visual Produce Enterprise, an ERP designed to track and control produce orders. My primary duties include building new screens as well as fixing and extending existing screens in the software using WPF, Telerik, C#, Entity Framework, and SQL Server to create, retrieve, update, and delete data from the back end. I am in charge of several large changes to the software, including removing the software's dependence on Data Table objects, and moving to using Entity Framework for accessing the data layer behind the software. I am in charge currently of building a new module of the software to allow tracking and modifications to the fee rate set by clients. Show less

This last summer, I worked with talented engineers and computer scientists to update and maintain the code base for their virtual reality treadmills. I worked closely with the user interface and to a somewhat lesser extent with the back-end in order to send and receive signals from the hardware. On slower days, I would work in the machine shop to help get ahead on future treadmills besides the ones currently being built. Taught swim lessons for the summers between my freshman and sophomore year, as well as between my sophomore and junior year. I had to think carefully about how to run the lessons based on how experienced each student was, as well as the age of the student. I worked with students of all ages, including very small babies and students in their 60's. Furthermore, several of my students had special needs which I had to further accommodate in my lessons.
