As one of the founding editors of the Centre, my role was to develop articles on West Asia (Middle East) which were sent-in to the Centre for publication by students as well as scholars. As the Centre was in its nascent stages and we (the student editors) were ambitious, a major challenge that confronted us was the task of up-scaling the centre. In this regard, I along with the other editors devised institutional structures for the growth of the Centre. My secondary tasks were in terms of field-work, wherein I served as a liaison of CRY to a government school in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. Herein, apart from teaching, my task also involved monitoring the conduct of CRY volunteers in fulfilling the objectives of the organisation. I was also tasked with bureucratic work apropos of filing documents with muncipal and school officials. Show less
