- Supervise a team of eight Regional Education and Training Coordinators to implement AFSCME’s political, organizing, and leadership programs in 40 plus states including Alaska and Hawaii. Training topics include recruiting and mobilizing activists, bargaining, executive board leadership, coalition building, implicit bias, among others.- Lead the union’s national Racial Social and Economic Justice Program, including organizational assessments, curriculum writing, coaching and facilitation. In my role, I advise national executive leadership, over 50 state level executive directors, and equity committees apply a racial equity lens to their strategic priorities. This transformative popular education program helps to remove barriers to equity and inclusion in the workplace and develop programs to support union staff and union members of color.- Manage AFSCME’s Next Wave Program to engage and activate workers under the age of thirty-five.
