      My research focuses on mother to child transmission of HIV and is geared toward development of pediatric vaccines to prevent oral transmission which accounts for most of the 180,000 new HIV infections in children every year. Techniques required include Enzyme Linked Immunofluorescent Assays, Polymerase Chain Reactions, Monoclonal Antibody production, Neutralization assays, Western Blots and Cell culture.
