Paolo is a highly effective manager with whom I worked closely with from 2003 to 2019. A talented people manager he identified, mentored and motivated those working for him. He was able to repeatedly build talented high performing teams around him as his role developed. As his manager , in my then capacity as Global Head of Real Estate, he was a trusted colleague upon whom i could rely upon completely .An active team player Paolo offered his insights or opinions concisely and respectfully. We worked closely on many complex projects as well as routine activity where his understanding, grasp of detail , willingness to challenge and overcome barriers was ever present.He brought a commercial acumen and the skills to communicate with clarity whether in the boardroom , management meetings or in his interaction with colleagues and clients. He was a highly valued colleague whom i thoroughly enjoyed working with .

During my recent years as a Strategic Consultant for AREF, Paolo has been a much valued and highly active contributor to the Association, through his work on committees and as a member of the Board. On strategic issues, he is excellent. One can always rely on Paolo to be both supportive on direction, while also providing very fair challenges when appropriate. He is particularly good at distilling complex issues to strike at the heart of the matter. On several occasions I have personally sought his wise counsel on matters, knowing his input would be very open and fair. He is an excellent public speaker at industry events too, highly articulate and engaging, and a strong proponent of industry collaboration. His extensive understanding of the industry is obvious and his delivery is invariably visionary. On top of all that, he's a thoroughly decent chap!
