After almost a year as a Guest Service Agent, I have been promoted to Senior Guest Service Agent (used to be Group and Crew Coordinator). My main focus is about the groups and crews that are arriving at the hotel as well as being a senior among the Front Office team.This position allows me to know more people in the organisations. I have a chance to involve myself in the other departments and see the hotel industry in a wider angle. Aside from the daily procedures of the position and the Front Office, giving guidelines, feedbacks, recommendations, and provide motivation among the team are also mandatory - especially to the new comers. As a Senior Guest Service Agent, dealing with cases and making decisions are also involved.
