While at Schneider-Electric, I worked with Pam at DocuServe to implement an electronic extended warranty program for APC UPS Products. When we began the project, APC/Schneider only offered a very limited print based warranty extension model, which very few customers utilized. Working with Pam and the team at DocuServe, we scrapped the printed mailer method in favor of a new streamlined and automated electronic registration/delivery process. Pam presented a proposal that included utilizing our internal IT, engineering process and procurement teams to integrate a DocuServe generated software key code designed to unlock the appropriate warranty extension purchased by the on line end user. The results were staggering, within less than a year, the new process resulted in dramatically increased registrants and millions of dollars in new extended warranty revenue. One of Pam's unique strengths is creating a relaxed environment for customers and teams, within multiple departments and management levels, to feel comfortable and empowered to incorporate change and make informed decisions to apply to new technologies.
