  Pam Estes Brewer, Ph.D., teaches and works in user experience (UX) research, as well as technical and remote team communication. Before becoming an educator and administrator, she worked as a technical communicator for such companies as LexisNexis® and Cincom Systems. This department has an excellent national and international reputation. As part of the job Dr. Brewer creates the schedule, chairs committees, facilitates a research group for the School of Engineering, mentors faculty toward promotion and tenure, facilitates initiatives across disciplines, updates curriculum, and trouble-shoots.Dr. Brewer is a Fellow of STC. She is also a member of the IEEE Professional Communication Society (PCS) and serves on the Board of Governors for the IEEE PCS.
