    • Reporter
      • Sep 1999 - Feb 2011

Started as an intern at the Courier News in 1999 working in both the features and special projects departments. Upon graduation from Rutgers University in New Brunswick with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Media, I was hired to the full-time position of reporter at the Courier News' Hunterdon Bureau, Flemington. Three years later, I became a municipal beat reporter in Somerset County. Acting as a mobile multimedia journalist, I was then responsible for writing stories for deadline, shooting photographs and covering breaking news for the Courier News and Home News Tribune, as well as MyCentralJersey.com, the virtual website for both Gannett newspapers.
