  Working as Sing Up Area Leader for www.singup.org I provided training and CPD to those working with Primary aged settings. Training was based around singing with musical ideas to support all aspects of the school curriculum. I was a project manager responsible for £120 000 worth of government funding to provide training free of charge. Some training was outsourced and some was provided by myself. I created resources for people to use with primary aged children and worked in partnership with local arts organisations and music services. I helped to create local networks to get people together more often to share best practice.

  KS2 Class teacher with experience teaching all KS2 classes single year groups and mixed. I was Music Coordinator and later became ICT coordinator. Both Subject roles meant I was responsible for the budget and planning of those curriculum areas as well as for supporting colleagues in their teaching. I spent 2 years teaching children sitting the KS2 SATs with responsibility for the SEN provision during one year, this was successfully inspected. I took responsibility for the organisation of the annual Y6 educational trip to France where I planned and led staff to take 40 Y6 children away for 5 days. This involved extensive risk assessments as well as being able to adhere to strict passport guidelines. I also taught 1:1 and small group violin and led a number of after school music clubs. I was on the committee for the Lancaster and Morecambe Music festival and often led the groups in school working towards their performance.
