Bio
Tim Thompson
It was Pam's work and publications on the topic of burned bone that inspired me to study this topic myself. I still refer back to it now, twenty years later, and encourage my students to do the same. As I was starting out in this area as a Masters and then PhD student, Pam was extremely supportive and encouraging. It was her support to attend the Canadian Society of Forensic Science conference to talk about my research that allowed me to present at my first international academic conference. Pam was the first person to really help guide my research journey and I have no doubt that I am still working on this subject today because of that positive start. I'm delighted that we've stayed in touch through the years - even though we are based on entirely different continents.
