Facilitated the “Blue Ribbon Panel on Conservation in Chandler Park,” a 30-person group of community advocates, local and state government, and business representatives. The panel developed goals and support for refurbishing Chandler Park, a Detroit public park. The work contributed to winning grants for building a new youth football field and rehabilitating historic park buildings. My activities included:•Coordinating roundtable, tour, and final presentation events; managing committee meetings.•Drafting the panel’s recommendations, including short- and long-term goals to re-design the park into an education center for green and blue infrastructure, and recreation center.•Researching original design and history of park for use in fundraising, and grant applications.
