Very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to join a new development team within RW Joinery (a bespoke joinery company with over 50 years experience) called RW Maintain as their Sales & Estimating Manager. The government's reaction to the Grenfell tragedy was to revise the Fire Safety Act in this case Fire Doors in multi occupancy residential and commercial buildings. With the introduction of the Golden Thread this meant that everyone in charge of a building from owners down the line to facility managers were all now responsible for the performance & maintenance of installed fire doors. RW Maintain offers Inspection, Betterment, Repair, Replacement and Servicing of existing internal timber performance fire doorsets with third party BM Trada Certification from manufacture to installation and servicing. It was my responsibility to develop relationships with clients and provide cost estimates for our services. Ensuring that they and the properties they managed were compliant in all aspects of fire door safety. Show less

In the months that followed being laid off due to COVID and the ensuing lock down restriction meant that even golf courses were closed. People did however go out for walks and the golf course was great place to do exactly that. The Hut on the 9th green (generally only used during golf competitions for light refreshments) wasn't being used, so I negotiated with Disley Golf Club to open it up and use it as walkers coffee shop. I sold hot and cold food, home made cakes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. It turned out to be extremely popular and once the golfers returned even more so. The experience taught me how to run my own small business and develop my skills in building relationships with my customers. Today the Club continues to use the Hut as a viable business. Show less

Successful in passing a stringent selection process due to the demands of an infamously rigorous and lengthy JCAB course and flight examinations. Whilst holding multiple Airline Pilot’s Licenses in the UK, Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East; the Japanese authority requires a newly joining pilot to undergo the country’s own licensing procedure. The course and subsequent training takes 8 months, culminating in the authorisation to operate in Japan on a JCAB License. • Passed JCAB Air Law Examination • Attained a JCAB Aeronautical Radio Operators License • Maintained a sound working relationship with course members and company management. Currently on leave without pay due to the COVID pandemic and the downturn in demand for travel. Hoping for better days ahead. Show less
