Peer Mentor
-
2010 - 2011
Whilst in school I was a Peer Mentor, therefore my communication and advisory skills were greatly tested and developed throughout dealing with various problems that arose with students. I often dealt with information of a sensitive nature and therefore had to listen and question students in an understanding yet practical way, whilst also offering support. When dealing with any problems that arose I was trusted by both the students and teachers, to help find a solution and deal with the problem in a sensitive and confidential manner. Therefore this role which involved me interacting and advising pupils who were faced with problems, helped me improve both my inter-personal skills and confidence. Show less
