Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrated active participation in feeding therapy and cooking sessions, facilitating positive outcomes for pediatric clients. - Developed a comprehensive resource guide on children's iron supplements and laxatives available in the Australian market. This valuable tool highlighted crucial information such as supplement/laxative form (e.g., tablet, powder, soft chews, liquid), flavor options, age appropriateness, dosage, and additional comments on allergen-free options, such as gluten or lactose-free alternatives. - Employed meticulous attention to detail by scanning and digitizing hard copy client files, optimising the organisation's electronic record-keeping system. - Deepened my understanding of food therapy through extensive literature review, allowing me to stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in the field. - Developed and implemented a comprehensive cleaning procedure to ensure adherence to stringent hygiene standards. - Created a cross-contamination and allergy minimisation plan, prioritising the safety and well-being of clients with specific dietary needs. - Designed and curated informative resources outlining vitamin-rich foods, focusing on vitamins A, C, D, and K, to support clients' nutritional needs and overall health. Completing my 10-week placement at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre gave me exposure to working as a clinical dietitian within a specialist hospital. I was able to provide nutritional strategies and support to patients while at their most vulnerable. This experience helped solidify my passion for working as a clinical dietitian. Building rapport with patients and problem solving to create interventions that were patient centred was a highlight and one of my greatest strengths. The exposure to numerous tumour streams and treatments has provided me with invaluable experience, and working with both inpatients and outpatients allowed me to build supportive relationships with patients throughout their oncology journey. Key responsibilities: - Completing initial assessments, review consultations, and prehabilitation sessions - Working and communicating within a multidisciplinary team, including taking part in discharge planning meetings - Consulting with inpatients and outpatients, using interpreters when needed - Prescribing nutrition support as appropriate and indicated, including oral nutrition supplements, enteral nutrition and total parenteral nutrition - Participating in 'Continuing Education' courses on a number of topics including high output stoma management, short bowel syndrome, and neuroendocrine tumours - Completing ISBAR handovers - Day-to-day management of inpatient colorectal caseload. This involved screening the inpatient list daily, triaging referrals, prioritising and seeing patients independently - Participating in total parenteral nutrition round with a senior dietitian and consultant - Managing patients at risk of refeeding syndrome Show less

I completed my Food Service placement at Colac Area Health. My project aimed to review the mid-meal service offered at Colac Area Health by identifying available mid-meals, benchmarking against similar health services, and evaluating mid-meal appropriateness for texture modified and allergy diets. The results obtained were then used to inform recommendations. I completed my Food Service placement at Colac Area Health. As an Assistant Manager at Diamond Exchange I continued my responsibilities as a diamond consultant, however my extra responsibilities included managing staff, customer complaints and concerns and working alongside our IT and finance team to help improve production and procedures within the business.

    • Sales Consultant
      • Oct 2017 - Nov 2018

As a diamond consultant, I worked in customer service, sales and administration. I also worked closely with suppliers and jewellers directly. I thoroughly enjoyed working in retail however, I discovered this wasn't an area I was passionate about. I had always been fascinated with nutrition and health so decided to follow this career pathway and go to University.

My dream of having my own womans wear label began when I was 16. I entered VAMFF’s Future Runway as a little challenge for myself and ended up winning. It was after this that I knew the fashion industry was for me. While having my label I did everything from initial concepts, design, pattern making, sewing, photography, social media, managing finances, constructing a look book and line sheet, marketing, running an online store, sourcing fabrics etc. What an incredible experience it was! When an opportunity to work at Diamond Exchange opened up I took this with open arms as it was the perfect job which incorporated everything I loved about the fashion industry. Having my own label was wonderful, but I knew it wasn't the right time to carry the weight of running my own business solo. I was ready for a new career path where I could work within a team and contribute to another business. Show less
