In my current role, I lead the OFP (Order Fulfillment Process) quality engineering efforts. Among my roles are yard program and ship hold management, clean bill of health management, lead of No-Fault Forwards, managing our deviation system, managing our assembly Defects per Unit (DPU) metrics, owning rapid short term (D3’s) resolutions, assuring station and build readiness for line start-ups, and assuring Key Characteristics are in control. I also prepped and lead the Strategic Planning sessions for our Staff Leadership team. In addition, I do the following:• Lead and facilitate production quality improvement team sessions & CAR review board meetings.• Lead and own all rapid short-term (D3) resolutions in assembly, with supplier quality collaboration on vendor issues.• Use Six Sigma and other quality tools including, Statistical Analysis, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, and 8D corrective action methodology to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for internally manufactured parts and assemblies. • Conduct Process Quality Audits and be the quality representative in assisting in operator certification and cross-training in assembly.• Collaborate and assist in the implementation of all PLIT QE activities regarding the main assembly line.• Support and continue our Smart Connected Factory journey, specifically in assuring our ignition strategy is fully supported and implements on time. In this role I was the quality lead for PDP (Product Delivery Process) projects. This included ensuring quality activities and plans are formulated and followed. I facilitated various meetings with cross-functional teams to drive problem resolution and ensure build readiness.
