      Was an official delegate selected to represent my federal riding of Leeds Grenville - Thousand Islands - Rideau Lakes, as part of the Equal Voice program known as Daughters of the Vote. Equal Voice is a national, multi-partisan not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing women’s civic engagement in communities across Canada. The Daughters of the Vote program brought young women, ages 18 to 23, from across the country to come to Canada’s Parliament in April 2019. One dynamic and diverse young leader from every federal riding in Canada has been chosen to represent their community and present their vision for Canada. All delegates took their respective MP’s seat in Parliament during a historic sitting of the House of Commons. Was addressed by every federal party leader, and engage with an array of Ministers, critics, and advocates. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, convened by Equal Voice with major support from the federal Ministry of the Status of Women and an array of public and private partnerships, will enable each delegate to collaborate and learn from her peers from across the country. Over the course of the week in Ottawa, exceptional young women leaders benefited from a robust program of professional development activities, including public policy workshops and roundtable discussions.
