I work part time at Tesco’s as a customer assistant, through the weekends. My role includes tasks such as: • Following health and safety regulations • Communicating with customers in a polite manner and answering any queries • Stock rotations • Meeting sales targets at the end of the week and/or month • Completing cash/card transactions Although not part of my main job description, I often take initiative in helping colleagues when there is a shortage of staff. I also became trained on a number of other departments, in order to work overtime during the holidays, which allowed me to learn how other sections of the company worked, making me more commercially aware. It also allowed me to be more versatile to the company’s needs, especially during the pandemic. Show less

Our focus was Online Civil Money claims which meant that I had many responsibilities, for example: • Processing/filing a range of forms from defendants and being attentive to any mistakes that need correcting before continuing the process • Monitoring emails and clearing the backlog that built up because of COVID-19 • Transferring claims cases to the appropriate courts • Ensure that there is no data loss, or personal information misplacement of both Claimants and Defendants to a third party Show less

I began working here whilst studying my GCSEs, my role being a receptionist. My role included many tasks, such as: • Inputting/Filing membership contracts • Signing members up to the gym and/or classes • Answering telephone calls from potential new members and questions from current members • Proof reading documents so that all data could be entered correctly • Monitoring emails • Completing cash and card transactions I also assisted on setting up various events in the function room, for instance birthdays and christenings. These events required making sure there was sufficient stock available to them, which was monitored with stock takes. My job also included ensuring that all areas of the gym were kept in an impeccable manner at all times, by taking up cleaning roles throughout the day. Show less
