Consultant, Government Affairs / Public Strategy
-
Jul 2016 - Present
I develop and instrument strategies to insert my clients and their interests in the agendas of decision makers, which includes governments, congress, media, academia and civil society. My objective is to generate an engagement in which companies and decision makers view each other as partners for the attainment of their goals. This is done by identifying my clients’ needs and priorities, understanding different actors involved in public decision making, designing a message and agenda in line with stake-holders’ interests and political timing, and effectively bridging communication among them.Notably, I have worked with international companies and organizations in the fields of Tourism; Energy (oil and gas); and Science and Technology.

To facilitate the creation and promotion of cooperation schemes between Mexico and the EU in several fields, such as Education, R&D, Health, Transport, Sc&T, and Culture, among others. This is done following a twofold approach: 1. Policy level (establishment of cooperation instruments) and 2. Project Management (coordination with different Government entities and private institutions in Mexico and the EU, event organisation, lobbying and networking, project assessment and communications management).

Assistant, Cultural Affairs
-
Aug 2012 - Mar 2014
The promotion of Mexico as a competitive actor in the international arena comprises different sectors. Undoubtedly, Mexican Culture stands-out as a key element of world-wide admiration that can be used as "tip of spear" to impulse different subjects in its foreign policy agenda as well as offering positive visibility. This promotion was carried-on in the form of cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts, conferences and festivals. Each project required deep involvement and profound skills in negotiation, coordination, logistics, resources allocation, communications management, writing and reporting.
