I have contracted Pablo Rojas as interim Finance Director for Schering-Plough Chile, from May 1 2009 to February 1 2010. The position was vacant due to departure of the previous Finance Director. We used an executive search process with KornFerry Chile, where Pablo was the strongest candidate we found in the market. In the period, Pablo worked as the FD for SP, and sat on the company´s management team. He has realized a fast and effective turnaround of the Finance department, and repaired many problems we had. People were given clear tasks and responsibilities and became motivated again, underperformers were let go, debt management was improved substantially, internal reporting was improved, which all contributed positively to operating performance. Towards the end of his tenure, an internal audit team confirmed the improvements, no major observations were reported. I consider Pablo to be a highly professional individual, trustworthy, very knowledgeable in Finance and business, proactive and very motivated to make things happen, and an inspiring and honest leader of people. Overall I would highly recommend Pablo for senior positions in Finance or management.
