Duties: -Specify, design, develop and test web based applications applications for a growing SAAS provider. -Designed and developed a web based shop front which was designed to be multi-tenant. The project included providing single sign on for existing clients from the core application this was realised by utilising a Central Authentication Server and Spring security. Spring Roo was used to rapidly develop the application. Spring MVC provided the model, view controller framework and the Java persistence architecture was used to provide the Object relational mapping. Jasper Reports was used to build and generate both excel and pdf reports on the fly. The project executed on an Apache Tomcat Application Server and MySql database. -Designed and developed an online stamper, which could be used to stamp documents or images that were uploaded to the system. The application was written mainly in Javascript and gave the end user a wysiwyg user experience. Many technologies were involved including Ghostscript, Imagemagick and jQuery. -Consumed web-service using the exposed WSDL so that real time updates could be performed to synchronise two external systems. -Localisation and internationalisation converted entire platform to UTF-8 so that system could handle many foreign languages, such as Russian, Japanese, Chinese and all the European languages. -CDN Security, Designed and developed a solution to deliver archived data to end users. Utilised the factory design pattern to provide a mechanism for access control to the archived documents, this software ensured that only user with the appropriate privileges could retrieve the relevant document.
