  I competed on the Not-for-Profit team representing the University of Alberta at JDC West, Canada's most prestigious case competition, where my team and I placed second out of twelve premier post-secondary institutions in Western Canada. The Not-for-Profit team trained countless hours for four months leading up to the competition, where we sharpened our presentation skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of the NFP sector. For the case competition in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, we have only three hours to review the facts and prepare a presentation to the panel of judges which consists of industry professionals, professors, and content experts.

  I represented the University of Alberta on the Business Strategy at JDC West, Canada's most prestigious case competition, where my team and I placed fourth out of twelve premier post-secondary institutions in Western Canada. Business strategy cases can be themed around general topics like mergers & acquisitions, expansion strategies, rebranding, restructuring, downsizing, growth, management issues, etc. During this case competition, our team was given three hours to analyze a business case specific to our discipline and create a presentation explaining our solution and implementation to a panel of judges in the industry.

  The Accenture Community Consulting Project allows students to provide pro-bono consulting services for a local non-profit organization under the guidance and support of experienced Accenture Consultants. My team and I worked on solving real-life business issues for a Non-Profit Organization where we worked on client management, market research, preparation of deliverables, and final presentations. Our team was fully responsible for industry research, analysis, and synthesis of information. I'm fortunate enough to be chosen as Pro-Bono Student Consultant for this program which gave me the appropriate tools to further develop my career in consulting.
