  Braven's mission is to empower promising, underrepresented young people, first generation college graduates and students from low income backgrounds who are on their path to college graduation, and help them secure strong first jobs and/or grad school admission. The goal is to build an equitable future for these students by closing the gaps in skills, confidence, experience, and networks. This, in turn, allows the students to have meaningful careers and a powerful impact on society as a whole. * In the Braven Accelerator at Lehman College, I facilitate a cohort of 6-8 students weekly in career, leadership and professional development for the Spring 2023 semester. I also coach each student individually to design their career vision, goals, and roadmap. I am responsible for supporting, guiding and motivating these promising students as they prepare to make their first steps into the professional world. We work together to build confidence, discover their skills and strengths, while learning the habits and mindset necessary to succeed in their chosen professions after graduation. * I provide my real-world professional experience/knowledge and connections to empower these students and advocate for them. Skills utilized: Leading and managing a diverse group, one on one coaching, facilitating college level course work in person and remotely, building relationships with students and other leadership coaches in Braven's network, giving and receiving feedback, clear and energetic communication, active listening, and powerful questioning.
