Media And Communications Officer
-
Aug 2020 - May 2022
Throughout college, I chaired a Media and Marketing position that was specially created for me by the leadership at the school's second largest club: the Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC). I had already been managing the club's social media presence when they decided to establish the position, giving me a voice in club matters. I took the opportunity to design a logo for the club, which has been used ever since, and I also built a strong social media presence, overseeing the club account as it surpassed 1,000 followers. In addition, I collaborated with the Student Association (SA) to create two large banners that are still displayed proudly. As part of my role, I was responsible for presenting, planning, and leading a minimum of two outdoor adventure trips each year. I took on the challenge and successfully organized and led trips to various locations, including Ohio and Vermont across state lines, as well as an exciting international expedition to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. These experiences allowed me to broaden the horizons of the club's members and fostered a sense of exploration and camaraderie among us. Show less
